Luic sighed deeply and laid his head against the lamp post. After peering into at least ten pasting cars, he had given up on his mom ever showing. The sun set and an eerie darkness eagerly took its place. Luic squeezed his jacket against him as he began walking home. He'd been through this before and shouldn't have been surprised, but there was something different about this night. The cold wasn't just a normal breeze. Tonight, the chill seemed to wrap itself around you like a python smoothering its prey. This night was darker and the usual lively town felt deserted. It was as if Luic knew what would happen next. As if he knew this walk home wouldn't be like all the others. He stuffed his hands in his pockets for comfort, preparing for the inevitable as he bravely continued walking. He heard a small rumble. He pretended not to notice. Luic strolled along as if nothing had happened. The next rumble sounded out. This one was slightly louder than the last. Luic tried to steady his feet looking straight a head Another rumble and another each growing louder. He couldn't stop it eventualy the small giggle that was building up in him turn into a out roar . The last rumble sounded like thunder and Luic immediately dropped to the ground. The eleven year old boy practically woke the entire neighborhood as he rolled on the ground laughing hysterically muttering something all the while. If you listened hard enough, you could hear him say again and again, "World's Greatest Fart!"
